My Story Hotel Figueira

Overlooking the busy Praca da Figueira, this is the ideal base for exploring the Portuguese capital on foot and by tram. The Castelo do Sao Jorge, medieval Alfama, the grand Praca do Comercio and the Tejo riverfront are all within easy walking distance, and it’s a thirty-minute ride on the number 15 tram to historic Belem.

Outside, the Hotel Figueira’s azulejo-clad facade instantly catches the eye with its mesmerising geometric shades of blue and grey. The colour scheme draws you inside to ‘La Squadra’: the high-ceilinged ground floor of the hotel – this versatile space acts as a breakfast room and café during the day, and a highly rated open-plan Italian restaurant in the evenings.

The eighty guest rooms are on the three floors above, and they’re comfortable with an understated sophistication.
