Hotel dos Templario

Hotel dos Templarios is a four-star hotel in the medieval city of Tomar.

Spanning the Rio Nabao, charming Tomar is the former seat of Portugal’s Order of the Knights Templar and played a key role in the country’s Age of Discoveries. The city is steeped in both Roman and medieval history, and the UNESCO-protected Convento de Cristo, the Castelo Tomar and the Igreja de Santa Maria do Olival are all within easy walking distance of the hotel.

There are one hundred and seventy-seven air-conditioned rooms in total – standard, superior and suites – all with private balconies. There’s also a well-equipped gym and indoor pool, a riverside garden with an outdoor pool, and you can sample Tomar’s most famous dish, Coelho na Abobora, at the hotel’s a la carte Grao Mestre restaurant, accompanied by a glass of regional Tejo wine.
